A planned emergency court hearing called by the singer Kevin Federline has been cancelled as his estranged wife Britney Spears has checked into rehab again.
It is not known what the hearing was to be about, but speculation is that it was concerning the custody of their two children, 17-month-old Sean Preston and five-month-old Jayden James.
The pair currently have joint custody of their children.
Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan confirmed the cancelled court hearing and said through his publicist: "Kevin continues to be a very focused father with his children with hands-on management."
During the past week it has been reported that Spears has checked into and out of two rehab centres; she stayed in each for just 24 hours.
It emerged last night that she has now entered an unnamed third treatment facility.
Concerns have been raised about the 25-year-old singer since her split from Federline. Following the announcement that they were to divorce, Spears embarked on a number of late-night partying sessions and knickerless photos of her were splashed across the world as she emerged from a car on one night out.
One partying session involved her swapping clothes with a stripper and walking around in just a bikini style outfit.
Last weekend she shaved off all her hair in Los Angeles; strands of which appeared for sale on the internet auction site eBay for $1,000,000 (£511,000).
