The Brit Awards 2010 with MasterCard will take place on Tuesday 16 February and organises are promising a spectacular event to mark the 30th anniversary of the ceremony.
Brit Awards bosses are promising a "landmark" event to mark 30 years of the annual music prize-giving ceremony.
In keeping with recent years, the BRIT Awards 2010 with MasterCard will be broadcast live on UK television from London's Earls Court Arena on Tuesday 16 February and is expected to feature a special segment to commemorate the previous 30 shows.
Ged Doherty, Chairman of The BRITs committee commented, "For the 30th BRITs show we're planning a landmark event that truly celebrates this occasion. The BRITs is the UK - and Europe's - premier music show and one of the biggest media events of the year. The show has seen many changes in recent years and I have no doubt we will continue to build on the spectacular success of this year's show."
The nominees for next year's awards will be unveiled at London's IndigO2 on January 18.
Last year's winners included Duffy, who was honoured in the British Female, British Album, and British Breatkthrough Act categories, Kings Of Leon, who scooped Best International Group and Best International Album, and Elbow, who were named Best British Group.
