Bristol Palin, the 20-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin who has consistently found herself at the bottom of the Dancing With The Stars leader-board, has made it through to the season eleven final after a dramatic results show last night (16th November 2010).
Palin and partner Mark Ballas will join the favourite Jennifer Grey as well as Kyle Massey in next week's final, after singer Brandy was controversially eliminated. The 31-year-old R&B singer was visibly distraught when she was announced as the contestant who had fallen at the final hurdle, and just minutes before she had said in a video segment, "I have to go to the finals. In the most humblest way, that's where I feel we belong". The Los Angeles Times report that the singer's "tears of frustration and disappointment were evident at the end of the program". Her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy said, "I don't regret a second about being on this season."
Palin found herself bottom of the leader-board going into last night's results show, but she had performed well in the penultimate week and received her highest score of the series so far. Before the result was announced, Annie Lennox and Enrique Iglesias had performed live.
