Bristol Palin is receiving votes on Dancing With The Stars because of her dancing, and not for her affiliations with the Republican Party, says former contestant ERIN ANDREWS. In recent weeks, it has been suggested that Palin's consistent survival of elimination could be down to votes cast from supporters of America's right-wing political parties.
However, 32-year-old Andrews, a sports presenter who finished third in season ten of the dancing contest, says that Palin has made it to the semi-finals on her dancing talents alone, telling ABC News, "I don't think there's a conspiracy. Nothing is going to sway Carrie Ann and Bruno and Len. Bottom line: she's getting the votes. People are calling in and voting for her". 20-year-old Palin is still the favourite to be eliminated from the show tonight (16th November 2010) despite receiving her highest score of the series so far on yesterday's instalment. Palin and partner Mark Ballas were rewarded with scores of 29 and 26 for their Paso-Doble and Waltz routines.
Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey is expected to make it safely through to next week's final after recording two perfect scores of 30 on last night's show.
