Bridget Jones's famous big knickers failed to be snapped up on auction site eBay, despite attracting bids of GBP3,900 ($7,020) for charity. The offers for the pants, which had been signed by actor Hugh Grant with the message "Hello Mummy! Lots of love and kisses", failed to meet the undisclosed reserve price. The underwear, sported by Renee Zellweger in the celebrated British movie BRIDGET JONES' DIARY, was auctioned on 14 September (06), and originally fetched GBP2,000 ($3,600) - the proceeds going to London green space fund The Royal Parks Foundation. The winner, ANNA MANN, then re-auctioned them, along with a bottle of champagne, in order to raise more cash for the organisation - without success. A spokesman for eBay says, "Basically sellers set their own reserve price. It's possible the seller could accept the last offer that they have had for the item. "But otherwise the options are to re-list the item, to put it back on with a lower reserve or accept that they are not going to get what they want for it."
