BRET MICHAELS, the frontman of rock band Poison, is to launch his own pet products collection titled 'Pets Rock', according to the Hollywood Reporter. In a collaboration with 'PetSmart', the American singer will launch a series of pet products inspired by his career in 'rock and roll',
Although few details of the new line have been released, it is understood the collection will contain dog beds, clothing, feeders, collars, leashes and bowls. Matt MCAdam, vice president of merchandising for the brand, suggested the collection will meet the demands of pet owners who require something extra from their products, saying, "Our pet parents have told us they want unique, high-quality products for their pets that are also fun and reflective of their personalities". Bret's foray into the business world may be attributed to his successful stint on 'The Celebrity Apprentice'. The rocker was named the winner of Donald Trump's competition during the season finale in May 2010, edging out actress Holly Robinson Peete. In recent years, the glam rocker has starred in his own reality television series 'Life As I Know It', which depicts his home life with his daughters and their mother. Filming was temporarily suspended after Bret underwent surgery for a 'patent foramen ovale', or a 'hole in the heart'.
Michaels isn't the first celebrity to collaborate with 'PetSmart' - Martha Stewart launched a line of pet wear in 2010.
