Brad Pitt's latest movie 'World War Z' is being filmed in Scotland for two weeks.

Shooting on the post-apocalyptic zombie movie will take place in Glasgow and it will be transformed into a war-ravaged city for the scenes.

The sequences will be depicted as being in Philadelphia and fake shop fronts and American cars will be brought in to recreate the US city.

A number of locals will play zombies in the film following an open casting in July.

Gordon Matheson, leader of Glasgow City Council, told the BBC: "We are ready to welcome the 'World War Z' production to Glasgow.

"There is great anticipation in the city ahead of such a huge film coming here."

In 'World War Z' - which is based on the book by Max Brooks - Brad plays a UN agent who travels the world interviewing survivors of a global zombie attack which occurred 10 years earlier.

The 47-year-old Hollywood heartthrob is also producing the project.
