Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie 's wedding is likely to take place at their French estate this weekend, after guests began arriving at the chateaux in Provence. The usually quiet residence has become a hive of activity today (August 10, 2012), with Brad's mother and father and Angelina' private jeweller Robert Procop making discreet entrances, according to the UK's Sun newspaper.
Reports had suggested that Pitt is laying on a party for his parent's anniversary, though it doesn't explain the arrival of the jeweller or the extent of the huge operation currently in action at the house. A source said, "Brad flew in to oversee preparations but they're all here now. They say it's for Jane and Bill, but some think this could be it. Even Angelina's private jeweller is here". The couple have made no secret of their intention to marry in France, though it is thought the guest list will be restricted to just close family and friends, including Pitt's best pal George Clooney. The insider revealed, "George and Brad are best pals, there's no way he'd miss it.He's at his house in Italy, but could fly to Marseille in an hour. There's a real buzz around the estate".
The couple bought the 1,000 acre estate in Provence in August 2009, with the intention of creating the ultimate dream home for their burgeoning family. Deputy culture secretary of the village of Correns Patrick Mareschi says the couple would actually be breaking the law should they marry at home, telling Reuters, "Under French law couples have to get married at the town hall. Unlike with a religious wedding, there's no way a couple can hold a civil ceremony at their own home".
