Country music singer Brad Paisley is donating money to build a skate park in his home state of West Virginia after receiving a letter from a 15-year-old boy who told him youths have nowhere to skate.

The 6,000 square metre (20,000 square feet) facility, estimated to cost between $200,000 (GBP105,000) and $250,000 (GBP167,000), will be built in the city of Wheeling and be the first free concrete skate park in West Virginia.

But the WHISKEY LULLABY vocalist, who owns a skateboard, doesn't want the amount of his donation released, said a Wheeling Skate Park Committee member.
