Brad Paisley is gearing up to go on a new college campus tour.
The country star may be more used to playing sold out amphitheatre venues around the world, but in 2015 he got a taste for campus life during his Country Nation College Tour, which he embarked upon to promote his single of the same name.
He’ll be doing it all again from 4 September (16), kicking things off in downtown Orlando for the Florida State vs. Ole Miss football game.
An excited Brad updated fans with tour details on his Facebook page, telling them: “Heading back to a college campus near you!
“Get your mascots ready!”
Brad’s Country Nation single is a celebration of the college spirit and America’s passion for sports that weaves-in a shout-out to 18 college sports mascots.
From Orlando, the tour, presented by Frontier Communications, will move on to West Virginia University and Ohio State University, with more dates to be released on a a rolling basis.
“Music and college sports are a winning combination, and we’re thrilled to help bring this experience to fans across the country,” Frontier Communications' executive Cecilia MCKenney, said in a statement to nashcountrydaily.com.
“Sponsoring the Country Nation College Tour is the perfect opportunity for us to show appreciation to our customers.”
On Friday night (12Aug16) Brad, who is currently on his Life Amplified World Tour, dedicated a song to late radio DJ Dave MCKay. during his Tampa, Florida concert. Dave, who worked at country radio station WQYK in St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away earlier this month at the age of 55.
