Singer Brad Paisley has come under fire from executives at his record label after leaking a preview of the songs from his new album.
The Celebrity hitmaker is set to release Moonshine in the Trunk on 26 August (14), but on Saturday (26Jul14), Paisley posted a video on Twitter.com with snippets from each track on the record.
He wrote, "I'm going rogue. The label doesn't know I'm doing this. Seriously. But I made a Moonshine Preview teaser. Don't tell."
Paisley then went on to chronicle his exchanges with record label bosses explaining they were removing the links to the songs faster than he could post them and also included email exchanges between himself and an executive.
He also explained bosses at Sony Music Nashville's Arista Records instructed him he was not allowed to post the snippets himself, so he enlisted his Rising Star Tv co-host Ludacris to help him.
He wrote, "Again, I promised the label I wouldn't post the link myself. Me. Myself. I."
He continued, "I'd love to post another clip of music, but they're watching me like a hawk but I'll bet they're not watching @ludacris..."
Earlier this year (14), Paisley filed a $10 million (£5.9 million) lawsuit against bosses at the label for breach of contract and unpaid royalties.
