The singer's 19-year-old son Jerry Greer was confirmed dead after his body was recovered Monday evening (11Jul16) following a search in and around Kentucky Lake, a section of the Tennessee River. The teenager had gone missing after he was involved in a tubing accident on the lake on Sunday.
After the confirmation, Morgan's fellow country stars took to Twitter to reveal how heartbroken they were by the news and to send their condolences to him.

MCBride tweeted, "So so sad to hear about @cmorganmusic 's son Jerry. As a parent my heart breaks for this family," while Nashville actor and singer Charles Esten, posted, "Heartbroken and praying for @cmorganmusic and his family in the midst of their unimaginable loss."
Country veteran Neal MCCoy added, "My heart goes out to Craig Morgan and his entire family in this time... Craig and family, the entire music industry and millions of fans around the world are praying for you and your family for the strength you'll need to get through this. We love you buddy!!"
Stars Chely Wright and Rodney Atkins had previously posted they were "praying" after Greer was reported missing. At that time, a representative for Morgan released a statement, which concluded, "The family is grateful for everyone’s support and prayers and requests privacy during this difficult time."
