The mourning members of Boyzone were forced to return to their native Ireland without Stephen Gately's body.
The grief-stricken stars - Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy - flew to Majorca on Sunday (11Oct09), a day after Gately was found dead in the holiday home he shared with partner Andy Cowles.
They were said to have pledged to bring their pal's body back to Dublin - but they had no choice but to fly back to their homeland on Monday (12Oct09) after they were refused access to the morgue.
Officials explained to the band it may be several days until the tragic star's body will be released for repatriation to Ireland, reports Britain's The Sun.
The pop stars instead spent their time on the Spanish island comforting distraught Cowles, according to the newspaper.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out on Tuesday (13Oct09).
