The Culture Club frontman was drafted onto the panel of the U.K. reality TV show to replace Tom Jones for the 2016 series, and he became embroiled in a bitter argument with fellow coach Paloma, another new addition to the line-up, during the audition rounds which were filmed earlier in 2015.
It was reported in September (15) that Boy George had reduced Paloma to tears, but he insists their row was no big deal, telling Britain's The Sun newspaper, "That was just the hors d'oeuvre (starter)."
He is certain there will be more disputes in the live show rounds because they have personalities which clash, but he is adamant their working relationship is fine following the bust-up.
"People think I am going to be b**chy. I've heard that a lot but I try not to fall into any cliche..." he adds. "I'm a Gemini, so I am always in two minds. I get accused of being two-faced because of this but I think that's a good quality. I'm honest. Sometimes too honest.
"We have been thrown together. Paloma is very emotional but she's really tough... Will we clash again? Yeah, she's quite touchy. When it comes to us, there's always the potential for a big barney (row) but we will always make up... I get over things really easily and so does she."
Former JLS singer Marvin Humes, one of the show's hosts, recently spoke about the incident during an appearance on U.K. TV series Alan Carr: Chatty Man, saying, "There were tears. It was an explosive day... You will see it on the show. It went on for about half an hour."
Boy George and Paloma join returning judges will.i.am and Ricky Wilson on the panel. The new series airs in the U.K. in January (16).
