Rapper Bow Wow is hoping to lighten the mood of Hurricane Katrina victims by giving them the chance to view his new movie Roll Bounce before anyone else.

The teenage star has promised to hand over 10 per cent of the movie's first weekend takings over to relief efforts when it hits the big screen tomorrow (23SEP05) and now he's beaming the 1970s period film, about disco-loving rollerskaters, direct to survivors.

He explains, "We're giving them the chance to actually watch the movie - we're actually sending straight satellite feeds to every shelter throughout Texas and Louisiana to give them the chance and opportunity to check out the movie.

"It's just to bring them laughter for a couple of hours."
