Bono and Robbie Williams are set to headline this year's (05) second most eagerly anticipated music event - a follow-up to next month's (02JUL05) LIVE 8 concerts.

The U2 frontman and Williams will join Annie Lennox, Sugababes and Texas for the follow-up show at Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium in Scotland on 6 July 2005, four days after Live 8 is staged simultaneously in London, Paris, Berlin, Rome and Philadelphia.

The Scottish Live 8 is being held on the same day as the G8 Summit meeting to persuade leaders of the eight largest industrial nations to cancel Third World debt, double the aid budget and rewrite global trade laws so developing countries can protect their economies.

Live Aid co-organiser MIDGE URE says, "Edinburgh is going to be the focal point of everything.

"The eyes of the world will be upon it. In Scotland that day we will hold eight men to account.

"We care about the 30,000 children who die on their watch every day."
