Former Bond girl Honor Blackman ditched her feminine charms during the war - and spent several years atop a motorbike.
The star, who played the glamorous Pussy Galore in Goldfinger, rode the mean machine during the Second World War (39-45) in a bid to help out the troops.
She says, "I did indeed ride a motorbike. I was in the Civil Service during the war. They wanted people to ferry medical supplies and I did it. They dubbed me 'Top Gear Tessie'. It was quite terrifying."
And the actress admits she used the bike to take her children to school after the war was over.
She adds, "They were terribly embarrassed."
