Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora has checked into a rehab facility, the band's spokesperson has confirmed.
Details of what treatment Sambora will receive were not revealed, but it is reported that he entered the facility on Wednesday.
Bon Jovi are scheduled to play the O2 Arena in London on July 24th and their new album, Lost Highway, is released on Monday.
Sambora's spokesman said: "He asks that you respect his and his family's privacy at this time."
The 47-year-old guitarist recently lost his father to lung cancer and finalised his divorce with Heather Locklear after she filed for a separation in 2006.
Sambora and Locklear have a nine-year-old daughter together and were married in 1994.
The guitarist also dated the actress Denise Richards for a period but the pair split earlier this year.
Bon Jovi are planning a larger tour taking place in 2008 and the band will honour their tour commitments in London.
