The singer, who was jailed for a violation of parole earlier this year (04), went out of his way to please wardens who asked him not to sign autographs for fellow inmates.
Brown says, "I was doing a lot of work that I had never done in my life. I was stripping floors with the big machine, waxing floors.
"My thing was this: 'As much as I could do while I'm in here, it makes the time go by faster.
"It's better to be able to get out of that cell and just do something 'cause the 24-hour lockdown, that's hell. It's like being in the bathroom for 24 hours."08/06/2004 02:47
