Bobby Brown's legal fortunes are changing - he walked out of a Boston, Massachusetts court a free man.
The fallen R+B star was called back to court yesterday (15JUN04) by a judge who wanted to make sure he was in compliance with a previous ruling in a child-support case.
The judge sentenced Brown to a brief spell in jail in March (04) for failing to pay ex KIM WARD child support for their two kids.
Brown received a reprimand on his efforts because he had been three months behind on the payments until Monday (14JUN04), but the judge has now applauded the singer for paying up before the case hit court.
The judge initially ordered Brown to appear in court in Massachusetts each month to prove that he is in compliance with the order, but attorneys agreed that he would not have to appear in person.
Outside the courthouse, Brown said, "Those are my kids and I plan to take care of them, no matter what."16/06/2004 08:55
