Bobbi Kristina Brown is "doing well" and showing signs of improvement after her near-drowning incident last month (Jan15), according to her aunt.
Whitney Houston's only daughter from her marriage to Bobby Brown has been fighting for life in a medically-induced coma in hospital ever since she was admitted to hospital in Atlanta after she was found unresponsive and face down in a bathtub in the Roswell, Georgia home she shares with her partner Nick Gordon on 31 January (15).
Her father Bobby updated fans about the 21 year old's condition on Tuesday (10Feb15), suggesting his daughter's prognosis isn't as grim as had been reported by stating, "God is hearing our prayers", and now his relative Leolah Brown has confirmed things are looking up as Bobbi Kristina continues to receive treatment at Atlanta's Emory University Hospital.
She tells local news station Waga-Tv, "There are so many signs showing us that she will be Ok. Krissi is fine. She's opening her eyes. Krissi is doing well right now. She is."
The news emerges on the third anniversary of Houston's death and as Roswell Police Department officials confirm they are looking into the near-drowning incident as a criminal investigation.
A statement issued to UsMagazine.com on Wednesday (11Feb15) reads: "The Roswell Police Criminal Investigation Division, who is investigating the incident, conducts criminal investigations. The incident has always been under criminal investigation and has not been reclassified.
"This remains an active investigation and the Roswell Police has no further statement or information to release at this time."
Local police also released an emergency call from a security guard at the gated community where Brown and Gordon reside from 23 January (15), a week before her hospitalisation, after one neighbour reported a domestic dispute outside the couple's home.
No official action was taken as the guard lacked specific details about who was involved in the bust-up and was urged by police officials to ask the neighbour to report any concerns directly to cops. It is not known if the local decided to take the matter further.
