A LIVE AID II concert dubbed LIVE 8 looks likely to take place in London this summer (05), after another festival was cancelled to make way for a big event.

Organiser SIR Bob Geldof has denied he is planning a charity bash to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original extravaganza - following the release of BAND AID III last Christmas (DEC04).

But rumours have circulated after Prince Charles' charity THE PRINCE'S TRUST axed their annual Party In The Park charity gig.

Prince's Trust spokesperson MARTINA MILBURN said she was "delighted to support LIVE 8".

Sir Paul McCartney, U2 and the Rolling Stones are among artists tipped to perform.

If it takes place, the concert - which will coincide with the G8 summit taking place in Scotland - will raise awareness of poverty in Africa.
