SIR Bob Geldof experienced mixed emotions when rock legends Pink Floyd agreed to reform for Live 8 earlier this month (JUL05) - he was ecstatic they agreed to play even though he hates their music.

Geldof realised the significance of his coup at persuading the prog rock veterans to regroup for the London leg of the poverty awareness raising extravaganza.

But he admits he's no fan of the WISH YOU WERE HERE band's noodling music.

Geldof recalls, "I said, 'You've made an old man very happy. Not that I can stand you...'

"I never really liked their music."
