U2 have written Britain's favourite pop lyric - beating rival rockers Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, THE Beatles and David Bowie in a new poll. The line, "One life, with each other, sisters, brothers," appears in the song ONE, from the Irish band's 1992 album ACHTUNG BABY. HOW SOON IS NOW? by The Smiths came second and Nirvana's SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT came third in the poll by VH1. A shortlist was chosen by 100 music industry figures, including Jon Bon Jovi and NOEL GALLAGHER - fans then voted for their favourite. The U2 song is currently back in the charts, with a re-released version starring the vocals of Mary J Blige alongside frontman Bono.
