A number of artists, including Foo Fighters, U2 and Prince, have cancelled European gigs in the aftermath of the violence in the French capital on Friday (13Nov15) which killed more than 130 people.

Blowin' in the Wind star Dylan decided against axing his two concerts in Bologna, Italy this week (beg16Nov15), but reportedly hired armed guards to protect the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni for his shows on Wednesday (18Nov15) and Thursday (19Nov15).

The venue's artistic director Giorgi Zagnono, tells Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, "This is the first time an artist asks us to strengthen security so consistently. But given the situation, after what happened in Paris, we consider the request from Mr. Dylan to be more than understandable..

"(These) security measures are not those of a normal concert... We definitely have the duty to remain vigilant (sic). We will be vigilant... both outside and inside the hall."

More than 80 gig-goers were killed during a bloody siege at an Eagles of Death Metal show in Paris on Friday, when terrorists stormed the venue, taking hostages and gunning down audience members.
