British rockers Blur are to release their first new album for 12 years.

The Parklife hitmakers' last disc was Think Tank in 2003, and the band went on hiatus shortly afterwards following the departure of guitarist Graham Coxon.

They reunited for a huge concert at London's Hyde Park in 2009 and have performed concerts sporadically ever since, and on Thursday (19Feb15) it was announced Blur have recorded a new album.

The record, titled The Magic Whip, is due for release in April (15).
