The members of British group Blur are set to officially confirm their reunion this week (begs08Dec08), according to U.K. reports.
The Britpop pioneers have been on hiatus since 2003, after guitarist Graham Coxon quit during the recording of the album Think Tank - but both he and Damon Albarn have hinted at a possible reunion in recent months.
Now the band is set to announce their return on Tuesday (09Dec08), along with two huge shows lined up for next summer (09), according to British tabloid The Sun.
A source tells the newspaper, "It was the reunion many thought would never happen. Graham and Damon’s relationship had become toxic by 2002. But they’ve patched up their differences and are friends again.
"The group have done some rehearsals and are all chuffed (pleased) with the results. They’ve decided is the time to go back out on the road."
Blur will headline legendary U.K. music festival Glastonbury in June (09) before staging their own concert in London's Hyde Park, The Sun reports.
