Boyband Blue are poised to make history in Egypt - by staging the biggest ever rock concert to be held in the African country next month (JUL04).
The British group will thrill fans by performing at MEDIA PRODUCTION CITY on the outskirts of Cairo before a forecast crowd of 20,000, tourism minister MAMDOUH BELTAGUI has confirmed.
CAROLINE ALCOCK of the British embassy says, "We are very happy about this event, it's an indication of the friendship between Britain and Egypt.
"We hope this will be the start of a series of cultural events between the two countries."
Egyptian officials want the unprecedented event to help boost the tourism industry, a key source of foreign currency revenue for the country, which attracts more than two million tourists a year.07/06/2004 17:13
