Prior to that, the punk pals had waged a war of words with each other.
The stars confirmed they'd be onstage together at the Grammys last week (ends06Feb09), but refused to state whether the reunion would be permanent.
Taking the stage at the Grammys to present Coldplay with the Best Rock Album, drummer Barker, wearing a sling on his arm, said, "We used to play music together and we decided we're gonna be playing music together again," prompting Hoppus to announce, "Blink-182 is back!"
The trio announced an indefinite hiatus in 2005. Hoppus and Barker went on to form +44 while DeLonge enjoyed success as the frontman of Angels & Airwaves.
