British-born movie cowboy JOHN ALDERSON has died at the Motion Picture and Television Hospital in Woodland Hills, California. He was 90. The character actor won roles in TV series like MAVERICK, BONANZA and GUNSMOKE when he relocated to Hollywood after serving in the British Army during World War Two. He also played cowboys in movies Blazing Saddles and YOUNG GUNS II, which marked his final acting role in 1990.
