Blake Become The First UK Classical-crossover Group To Be Added To The Radio 2 Playlist

Blake become the first UK group from the classical-crossover genre to be added to the Radio 2 playlist with the addition of their new single 'So Happy'. Having formed in 2007 this is the first time that a single by Blake has been added to the most popular radio station in Britain.

Understandably delighted, on hearing the news band member Stephen Bowman posted on his Facebook page: "I'm supposed to be keeping this news to myself, but frankly I'm a little too happy to do so.... oh yeah, we did it!"  Following Radio 2's official announcement the band (Bowman, Ollie Baines and Humphrey Berney) posted "WE DID IT !!!! - Our summer single #SOHAPPY has made it on to the BBC Radio 2 playlist! - If you'd like to hear it now, here it is! Do SHARE this as much as you can, we're really proud of it! :)"

'So Happy' is the second single to be taken from Blake's latest album 'Start Over' and includes former band member Jules Knight, who recently left the group to join the cast of Holby City.  The "dishy doctor" tweeted "Fantastic news that our song 'So Happy' from the album 'Start Over' has made the Radio 2 playlist :)"

'So Happy' sees Blake embracing the challenge of evolving from classical music to pop with the single representing the sound of their fourth album.
