Blake Shelton has urged Simon Cowell to end the "bickering" after TV bosses decided to put his The X Factor up against rival talent show The Voice in a ratings battle.
Cowell, creator of The X Factor, was furious when he heard the second season premiere of the U.S. singing contest would face direct competition from the other show this week (beg10Sep12) and accused executives of attempting to reignite an old rivalry between his new judge Britney Spears and The Voice's Christina Aguilera.
However, country star Shelton, who is another judge on The Voice, is adamant Cowell shouldn't let the Wednesday night (12Sep12) clash bother him so much as there is "room" for both shows.
He tells Access Hollywood, "Every time I turn around the guy is mouthing off. Don't y'all wish you had time to sit around and b**ch and moan like that guy does? Every time I turn around, he's mouthing off about our show. It's like, 'Do your own show!... We'll just do ours and we won't mouth off about you'... There's room for all these shows. That's what frustrates me when I hear the bickering."
