The Second Annual Big Barrel Country Music Festival, Which Was Set To Feature Sam Hunt And Brad Paisley, Has Been Cancelled.
Organisers of the Dover, Delaware event posted a statement on their official website to announce the cancellation.
It read: "We have made the difficult decision to cancel Big Barrel Country Music Festival... We sincerely apologize to all the people this decision affects: the fans, artists, industry partners, venue, City of Dover and State of Delaware; all of whom welcomed us with open arms for our inaugural festival in 2015."
Event bosses tell local newspaper the News Journal have not given explanation for the cancellation, but insist they met their ticket-selling goal.
The Big Barrel Country Musical festival, which was set to take place at The Woodlands venue from 24 to 26 June (16), was also slated to feature Eric Church, Hank Williams Jr., Tyler Farr, the Eli Young Band, Martina MCBride, the Band Perry and Lee Brice, among others.
Headliners Carrie Underwood and former couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert played for over 30,000 fans over the course of the three day festival last year (15).
