THE Blair Witch Project cinematographer NEAL L FREDERICKS has been killed at the age of 35 while shooting his latest film.
Fredericks was filming aerial shots for the independent movie CROSS BONES from a single-engine CESSNA 206 when the plane's engine sputtered before going down in 50 feet (15.24 metres) of water.
Executive editor of American Cinematographer STEPHEN PIZZELLO says, "People don't understand how integral Neal was to the visual design of that film (Blair Witch).
"It was a huge movie based on the look, the lighting, the camera moves and the flashlights - all of which he designed."17/08/2004 16:59
