The band reunited in 2011 to record their first studio album together since 1978, and they went on to score a huge hit with 13, topping both the U.S. and U.K. album charts following its release in 2013, and embark on a world tour.

However, their success has been marred by guitarist Tony Iommi's cancer diagnosis and he has been juggling his band commitments with his treatment, and fans are now speculating that Black Sabbath is set to come to an end for good after frontman Ozzy Osbourne's wife Sharon announced their appearance at his Ozzfest event in Japan as their "farewell show".

In a video posted online, Sharon says, "This will be Black Sabbath's farewell."

No more details have been given and the rockers have yet to confirm whether the gig will be their last ever show, or a farewell to Japan.

Black Sabbath will close the Ozzfest event at a venue near Tokyo on 22 November (15).
