Heavy rockers Black Sabbath have made their retirement official by posting a simple obituary on Facebook.
Ozzy Osbourne and his bandmates played their final show last month (Feb17) in their native Birmingham, England and now they've confirmed the group is dead and buried.
The post on the Sabbath Facebook page reads: "Black Sabbath 1968-2017" and features the hashtag caption "#TheEnd".
Ozzy, Geezer Butler, and Tony Iommi have been together for almost 50 years. Tommy Clufetos replaced original drummer Bill Ward for the band's reunion in 2014, and Black Sabbath embarked on their The End Tour in January, 2016.
Over the course of their career, the band released 19 studio albums, and became one of the most influential rock acts in history.
