Rapper Black Rob has been released from prison after serving time for a charge of grand larceny.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs' former protege, real name Robert Ross, was ordered to spend seven years behind bars in 2006 after failing to show up for his court sentencing relating to a November, 2004 robbery. He stood accused of stealing more than $6,000 (£4,000)-worth of jewellery from a New York hotel room.
He was freed from incarceration this week (begs03May10) and while Ross admits he was feted by some of his fellow cellmates, he insists his fame did little to make his time in jail any easier.
He tells BET.com, "You had people in there man who felt like groupies every time they said hi to me.
"(But) I had a couple of problems. But it never resulted into anything physical. It wasn’t just inmates, officers…no one is above jealousy in there. You had officers in there being real disrespectful ripping pictures of my family off the wall and doing disrespectful things."
