Soul sensation Billy Paul has triumphed in his battle over unpaid royalties.

The ME AND MRS JONES hitmaker was furious after his biggest hit yielded no money for him, and has spent a long time fighting record label PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL RECORDS.

The judge ruled that Paul, 68, was entitled to a cut of all royalties from 1994 onwards after he successfully sued label bosses KENNETH GAMBLE and LEON HUFF in LOS ANGELES SUPERIOR COURT.

It's thought he will receive $450,000 (GBP300,000) from the court battle.
