Scottish funnyman Billy Connolly drank so much in his youth, he lost his short-term memory and suffered a split personality. The MRS BROWN star, who has been sober for twenty-one years, was prone to sudden blackouts and had huge difficulties recalling what he had been doing just hours earlier. Connolly says, "I had two memories. I would get drunk and have blackouts, then I would remember the stuff from the blackouts after a few days. "Then I reached the stage where I didn't remember and it didn't come back until I was drunk again. So I had this drunk memory and a sober memory. "I was two people and that was very scary. It would be one drink, two nights and I would change completely."
