The sale on BRITNEY SPEARS Beverly Hills home has been finalized, according to TMZ.com. An offer was given for the estate, of $4.253 million - a tidy sum, given that the property was originally listed at $2,995,000. She's still made a significant loss on the estate though, given that she purchased it in 2007 for $6.8 million.

A court hearing was supposed to be held today, in which other prospective buyers could outbid the guy who put in the offer. This could potentially have turned the whole affair into a bidding war, as Britney is currently under conservatorship. However, TMZ have been informed that Britney's conservators and her lawyers appealed to the judge to request that the hearing was cancelled. Their appeal was successful, so the offer of $4.235 million stands. Photos of the property reveal a large outdoor swimming pool, in an enclosed outdoor space, large rooms with chandeliers and a large, wood panelled kitchen.

Presumably Britney won't be worrying too much about the money that she's reported to have lost on the sale. Rumor has it that she is signing a very lucrative deal to become a judge on this year's season of the X Factor USA. It has been reported that she's signed a $10 million deal and Simon Cowell has been waxing lyrical about his admiration for her, telling Billy Bush in a radio interview, "The fact that she's one of the most talked about - not just pop stars, but people - in the world today means that you've got this star power. She's still hot, she's still having hit records, and she's still controversial. There's a reason for that."
