Actor Billy Bob Thornton names recording with dying rocker Warren Zevon as one of the most memorable events in his life.

The MONSTER'S BALL star, ex-husband of Angelina Jolie, is one of many stars - including Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and DON HENLEY - who have contributed to what will be Zevon's last ever album, called THE WIND.

Thornton, who sang back-up on KNOCKIN' ON HEAVEN'S DOOR and another track, says of working with cancer-stricken Zevon, "It's hard to know what to say with something like this.

"Of all the things I've done in my professional life, all the things I will do, being part of this will be one of the things I know I'll remember the most."
