Actress Billie Piper was taken to a specialist eye hospital yesterday, a day after she took part in a professional photo shoot with a powerful camera.
The Sun reports that the former Dr Who star was unable to open her eyes in the morning after posing for pictures the day before.
Piper's fiance Laurence Fox took the star to Moorfields eye hospital in London, where doctors said no permanent damage had been done.
The 24-year-old who started her career as a teen singer had taken part in a photo shoot with a celebrity photographer in which a special flash was used, according to the paper.
A ringflash, an extremely powerful tool that fits around a camera lens, was apparently used at the time.
Piper, whose past hits include Girlfriend and Honey to the Bee, recently completed shooting for the mini series Belle Du Jour.
In the television show, she will play the role of a high-class London call girl who blogs about her experiences in the profession.
Piper, who recently performed in West End play Treats, is reported to be planning a Christmas wedding to fiance Fox. She was previously married to DJ Chris Evans.
