Punk star Billie Joe Armstrong is trying to cut back on the amount of time he takes his classic old Cadillac out for a spin - because he knows it's an environmental hazard.
The Green Day frontman admits the December (04) tsunami in southeast Asia has made him realise how vulnerable mankind is and that we should all be doing more pro-environment things.
The AMERICAN IDIOT singer has already bought himself an environmentally-friendly low-emission vehicle and now he's got to ween himself away from his gas-guzzling Cadillac.
He says, "I'm still part of California and California is definitely car culture, especially old car culture, which are the biggest criminals out there.
