Another tour date on embattled comedian Bill Cosby's stand-up tour has been scrapped, taking the total to five.

Bosses at the Broadway Center in Tacoma, Washington have pulled the plug on the comic's show in April (15) fearing a boycott if the gig went ahead.

The venue chiefs state, "We work dilligently within our community's social fabric by building empathy, furthering education, and sharing joy. Ultimately we were not confident in our ability to meet those objectives by proceeding with Mr. Cosby's performance."

Venues in Vegas, Arizona, Illinois and South Carolina have also cancelled amid an ongoing sex scandal surrounding Cosby.

A group of woman have come forward in the past two weeks accusing The Cosby Show star of sexual assault dating back to the late 1960s.

His lawyer has dismissed the claims.
