Bailey's Mercedes Sprinter van was found days after thieves broke into the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in England in October (15) and stole two laptops and the keys to the bus, which contained tour merchandise and luggage belonging to crew members.

In Liverpool Crown Court, Francis Whittaker pleaded guilty to the theft of the vehicle and merchandise, which was valued at $3,600 (£2,400) in October (15).

A number of personal items, including a laptop and personal suitcases, remain missing.

Whittaker, who has 42 previous convictions for 84 offences, also pleaded guilty to a theft that took place on 17 August (15).
