Shilpa Shetty says she will not be planning a reunion with fellow Celebrity Big Brother star Jade Goody anytime soon after their explosive row on the reality television show.
The Bollywood star was the subject of much vitriol from Jade and fellow housemates Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara during the programme, with allegations of racism prompting thousands of complaints from viewers which spiralled into an international incident.
Now, with Shilpa the winner of the show and Jade said to be in counselling for depression, while Jo and Danielle struggle to resurrect their careers, any prospect of a reunion has been ruled out.
Speculation had grown about a possible television enterprise which might bring together Shilpa and her tormentor, but in an interview with Reveal magazine she said she had no plans to see the celebrity again onscreen.
"I am no Samaritan - I'm just human. If anybody thinks I can resurrect somebody's career or character, they're wrong, it's just not possible for me to do," she said.
"If I need to speak to Jade, I don't need to do it as a publicity stunt - I'll do it in private, between ourselves."
Meanwhile it emerged Shilpa had not attended the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party, although she denied it had been a deliberate snub.
"I knew nothing about the party. I did not snub it, I didn't get an invite. Perhaps they didn't know how to contact me," she commented.
Most of the housemates attended the show along with presenters Davina McCall and Dermot O'Leary, including Towers Of London singer Donny Tourette, Dirk Benedict, Jermaine Jackson and Cleo Rocos.
