Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty is set to swap the Big Brother house for a palace.
The 31-year-old winner of the celebrity reality TV show has revealed that she has received an invitation to meet the Queen and Tony Blair.
In an interview with the Mirror she announced that she will meet the prime minister next Wednesday, and has been invited to a gala dinner to celebrate Commonwealth Day with the Queen on March 12th.
The actress rose to international stardom after becoming the target of bullying by Jade Goody, Jo O'Meara and Danielle Lloyd on the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother. Housemates referred to the Indian actress as a "dog" and repeatedly called her "Shilpa Poppadom", refusing to refer to her by her proper name.
Shetty, a Bollywood actress when she entered the Big Brother house, left the reality TV show as a household name after the racial abuse caused a furore of international proportions.
The TV show invited comments from UK and Indian politicians, international stars and media commentators worldwide.
After winning the public vote on Friday night, Shetty has reportedly already received a number of film offers from Hollywood.
