Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro regret allowing the winner of Simon Cowell's The X Factor to release one of their tracks last year (10), insisting they made "a terrible decision".
The band's track Many Of Horror was covered by the victor of the British show, Matt Cardle, and renamed When We Collide.
Frontman Simon Neil admits the group was horrified to hear Cardle's final version, as it was such a deviation from their original.
Neil tells Britain's The Sun, "We thought we'd made a terrible decision allowing our song to be used. That version isn't a patch on ours. It even includes a key change we didn't write."
Bandmate James Johnston adds, "That guy Matt Cardle can't sing the song with the same conviction that Simon can. It will always be our song."
