Celebrity human rights activist Bianca Jagger has blasted PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH for running America like the "sheriff of a one-horse town".
The former wife of Mick Jagger reveals to American magazine INDEX she's appalled by Bush's politics and the way he deals with human rights issues around the world, particularly in Iraq.
Jagger joined a delegation of American academics who visited Iraq before the war to speak with Iraqis about their hopes and fears, and she's disturbed by the way troops took over the country.
She says, "I believe President Bush is one of the most dangerous leaders in the world. He acts more like the sheriff of a one-horse town who knows nothing about international law than the president of the most powerful nation in the world.
"Sadly, he is not a man in search of peaceful and diplomatic solutions. It's ironic to listen to Bush speaking about democracy, human rights, the rule of law, and freedom. When did he believe in those principals? When he was the governor of Texas, and executed 183 people?"24/02/2004 09:10
