Sexy singer Beyonce Knowles has spiced up her exercise routine by making key musical decisions on the treadmill.

The DESTINY'S CHILD star has also adopted a new approach to running by taking intervals between uphill sprints, in a bid to push her body to its peak before she tours later this year (03).

She says, "Changing it keeps me from being bored out of my mind. Plus, you burn more calories that way.

"And when I run, I listen to what I recorded the night before. The music helps me get through the running, and the running helps me decide if I like the song.

"I usually start thinking about the video, and I think, 'OK, I have to get tight.' It gives me the drive to keep going."

Beyonce, who only started working out two years ago (01) for her role in Austin Powers in Goldmember, also uses once-a-week yoga sessions to stay trim.

She adds, "Every time I take a class, I want to cry. I don't know if it's because I'm relaxing, or if it's that by the end of the class, your body can do things it couldn't do in the beginning, so you feel accomplished and emotional. It's therapeutic."
